Isokon Dining Table

Marcel Breuer

The Isokon Dining Table was one of a number of plywood pieces designed by Marcel Breuer for the Isokon Furniture Company in the late 1930’s. Now considered a modernist classic, the Dining Table was originally used in the Isobar Restaurant and Club at the Lawn Road Flats in Hampstead (where Breuer lived) paired with the Isokon Stool. The table is both extremely light for its size yet strong and can easily be moved single-handed.
